Thank you for choosing Reflectify: Mindful Journal ("Reflectify," "the App," "we," "us," or "our"). We believe that privacy is a fundamental right, and we are deeply committed to being transparent about how we handle your personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect and why, how we use, store, and protect your information, what choices and rights you have over your data, and how we work with third-party services including advertisers.
This policy applies to all users of the Reflectify mobile application available on the Google Play Store and any related services, features, or content we offer. By downloading, installing, or using Reflectify, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Mindful Code Studios is the developer and data controller responsible for the Reflectify app. As data controller, we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data and are accountable for ensuring that processing is conducted lawfully, fairly, and transparently.

We collect information in order to provide you with a personalized, high-quality mindfulness journaling experience.
When you register an account or sign in, we may collect your full name (used to personalize your experience) and your email address (used for account creation, login, notifications, and support).
With your explicit permission, we collect approximate location from your IP address to determine your region and time zone, and precise location only if you grant access, used to tailor reminders to local sunrise/sunset times. Location access is always optional and can be revoked at any time through device Settings.
We automatically collect technical information including device type, model, and manufacturer; operating system version; unique device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID); app version; crash logs; screen resolution; language settings; and network connection type.
We may collect information about how you interact with the App, such as features accessed, journaling frequency, session duration, and settings preferences. This data is collected in aggregate or pseudonymized form and used only to improve the app.

How this Health Data is used:
This Health Data is never used for advertising targeting, never shared with third parties, and never analyzed to build profiles for commercial purposes. It is stored under your unique user ID in an encrypted Firebase database and is accessible only to you.
The text, mood entries, and reflections you write within the app are stored securely and treated as highly sensitive. We do not read, analyze for advertising purposes, or share your personal journal content with any third parties. Your thoughts are yours alone.

Reflectify is supported in part by advertising provided by Google AdMob, a mobile advertising platform operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use data including your Android Advertising ID (AAID), IP address and approximate location, app usage patterns, and device information to serve relevant ads within the app. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of interest-based advertising at any time:
Opting out of personalized ads does not remove ads from the app; it means they will be less tailored to your interests.
We may integrate with additional third-party services for analytics or crash reporting. All such providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data for the purposes we specify. We do not share data with social media platforms or data brokers.

Reflectify includes a built-in account deletion feature accessible directly from the app. When you initiate deletion, the following data is permanently and immediately wiped:

Despite our best efforts, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.
Reflectify: Mindful Journal is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions, including the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age threshold.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used Reflectify without your consent, please contact us at [email protected]. Upon verification, we will promptly delete all information associated with the child's account.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence that may have different data protection laws.
